Juliet Turner BURNS THE BLACK SUIT
Remember Ally and her theme songs? Well we at SoulDaisy
have our own theme songs. In fact, SoulDaisy's denim collection
"Burn The Black Suit" was inspired by a song of the
same name by UK's Juliet Turner.
"If this is desire, expect nothing new, but
if this is love - burn your black suit".
In her own words, SoulDaisy designer, Shainin Hudda
explains the song that inspired her best-selling denim collection
- "It's about not conforming... a black suit symbolizes business...
it's about burning the 'conformity'. Burning the black suit symbolizes
following a new way and being successful in spite of not following
the tried and true paths..."
2000 and 2001 have been astonishing years for Juliet.
Her current album "Burn The Black Suit" was certified
platinum after only seven months on release and is now currently
heading for double platinum! The album produced hit singles "Burn
The Black Suit" and "Take The Money And Run" which
featured heavily in the radio airplay charts. Juliet also featured
heavily in the majority of the critic's polls at the end of last
year and scored highly with Hot Press' annual poll. Juliet was
voted No.4 Irish Female Singer and No.5 Irish Songwriter while
the album "Burn The Black Suit" was voted No.3 in the
Irish album stakes. On top of all this Juliet was selected as
one of Ireland's 50 hottest women.

"I was checking the listings for my website
on the internet when I came across your mention of the Burn the
Black Suit line and I wanted to drop you a note to say that I
am so ridiculously flattered. Thank you very much for the huge
compliment. Also had a browse through the on line catalogue, your
clothes are gorgeous, the site really funky and I hope it's a
huge success for you." - Juliet Turner, June 2003
